A right-leaning decrease is one where two stitches are worked together into a single stitch, and the stitch on the left is leaning rightward over the other one. If the resulting single stitch is used as the left stitch in another right-leaning decrease (in a subsequent row), they will form a visible decrease line in the finished work.
