This is a very simple Toe used when creating Toe-Up Socks.

Method[]

Begin with needles one or two sizes smaller than the needles that will be used for the main sock.

  1. Cast on the stitches for the toe (typically, this is around 8 stitches when using Worsted Weight yarn).
  2. Knit one row.
  3. Turn the piece over and Pick up stitches along the bottom of the cast-on row.
  4. Join and begin knitting across the bottom of the piece.
  5. Continue knitting circularly. At the start and half-way through, create pairs of opposite-leaning Increases, until you reach the desired foot size.

Note, if you are using Double-pointed needles, you may find you need to move up to increase the number of needles in use as the piece grows.
