This is a very simple Toe used when creating Toe-Up Socks.
Method[]
Begin with needles one or two sizes smaller than the needles that will be used for the main sock.
- Cast on the stitches for the toe (typically, this is around 8 stitches when using Worsted Weight yarn).
- Knit one row.
- Turn the piece over and Pick up stitches along the bottom of the cast-on row.
- Join and begin knitting across the bottom of the piece.
- Continue knitting circularly. At the start and half-way through, create pairs of opposite-leaning Increases, until you reach the desired foot size.
Note, if you are using Double-pointed needles, you may find you need to move up to increase the number of needles in use as the piece grows.
